There are two main cities in the south of Pemba. The capital Chake Chake is in the centre and has the airport nearby. Mkoani to the south west is the main port and is where ferries land.

There's not an awful lot to do in Pemba unless you are an avid diver. The beaches in Pemba arent as good as Zanzibar but the diving is better. There are only a couple of resorts including Fundu Lagoon which is delightful but very expensive.

There is alot of potential in Pemba for tourism so watch this space !!
