The hotel was completed in 1999 by the Smith family, English Kenyans with a track record in hotel development in Kenya. Andrew Smith is involved in the day to day day operation of the resort. The staff are well trained and serve you with a smile.
Built on 25 acres of palm trees, a huge amount of effort has gone into building a resort that tries to match some of those seen in Mauritius, with plenty of lush surroundings. It achieves this well although the drain on natural resources must be immense. To combat this the resort has been constructed with a number of technologically advanced features that help.
